ITR ROOM BLOCK 
The Omni Orlando is the preferred hotel for the Innovation Takes Root conference.  Attendees who book a reservation via the ITR room block link, will receive a discounted rate of $169.00 plus taxes. 

Reservations for the discounted rate must be made by Friday, January 27, 2012 and are subject to availability.
 

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations require a 1 night deposit at time of booking. This deposit is fully refundable for any cancellations made up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled with less than 72 hours before arrival or that are No Shows will forfeit the one night deposit. The deadline for reservation requests at the group rate is January 27, 2012. Cancellations must be made directly with the Omni Orlando Resort.
   

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.  Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.
   

EXTENDING YOUR STAY? 
The ITR guestroom rate will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the conference dates based on availability at the prevailing rate.
   

CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation must be booked 72 hours or more prior to the arrival date at the hotel.   Cancellations must be made directly with the Omni Orlando Resort, and done at least 72 hours prior to check-in date to avoid penalty.

GOLF INFORMATION
The resort features two championship 18-hole golf courses designed by accomplished architect and golfer, Greg Norman, a lighted 9-hole, par 3 golf course, and is the World Headquarters for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Golfers also enjoy the convenience of walk-out golf with a continuous golf cart shuttle to and from the golf course and academy.

 


TRAVEL INFORMATION

You are responsible for making your own flight and ground transportation arrangements for your trip to the Innovation Takes Root Conference.  We have provided some helpful information below to help you plan your trip.
 

FLIGHT ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES
In order to participate fully in all events, you should schedule your flights to arrive no later than 3:00pm on February 19.  Due to heavy traffic out of the Orlando airport, we recommend scheduling your departure flight after 7:00pm on February 22.

All flights in and out of Orlando are through Orlando International Airport (MCO).
 

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION
Persons traveling from outside the United States to Orlando, FL will be responsible for obtaining and carrying valid and appropriate proof of citizenship (passport and visa if applicable to your country of origin).  Consult with your local passport office or travel office for detailed information regarding your personal citizenship and/or originating country.
 

AIRPORT TRAVEL TIPS
Preparing for the airport security checkpoint will help speed your processing time.  Some tips before you travel:

  • Be prepared to remove your shoes and place in a bin.
  • Remove belts with metal buckles or studs and place in the bin, or pack in your carry-on or checked baggage.
  • Empty pockets of coins, key chains, cell phones, PDAs and any other metal.
  • Remove any heavy metal chains or jewelry.
  • Laptop computers must be removed from their cases and placed in bins.
  • Remove coats or heavy jackets.
  • Carry-on baggage is limited to one suitcase and one small personal item (purse or tote-bag).
  • Your boarding pass and a valid ID should be kept in your hand or around your neck.
  • Bags should be tagged for identification inside and out.  Even loose personal items like cell phones and laptops should be labeled and easy to identify at the other side of the checkpoint.
  • Liquid carry-on items must be limited to 3oz. and must fit into a 1 qt plastic bag.

CAR RENTALS
The average price for renting an economy car in Orlando is around $70 per day. There is a charge for both self and valet parking at the Omni Orlando.

  • Valet parking - $18.00 plus tax Valet parking day rate is $14.00
     
TAXI CAB SERVICES
Most Orlando taxis do accept credit cards as forms of payment. Be sure to clarify in advance with your driver. Fares from the airport to the Omni Orlando hotel range from $80 - $90, depending on traffic. Taxis are available 24 hours a day at the airport, and a trip to and from the Omni Orlando Hotel is approximately 35 minutes.

  • Take South exit to 417 South.
  • Take 417 South and follow the signs to I-4 West.
  • Take I-4 West 3 miles past the Walt Disney World® Resort exits to exit 58.
  • Take exit 58 and bear right to the ChampionsGate main entrance.

Ground Transportation
Associated Transportation provides direct service from Orlando International Airport to the resort with no additional hotel stops. 24 hour advance reservations are required and can be made online or by calling (407) 888-9220, extension 3.

  • Roundtrip Shuttle Service: $45 per person
  • One way Shuttle Service: $25 per person
  • Town Car Service: $89 one way
  • Taxi Service: Approximately $80-90 one way

MEETING ATTIRE
Attire for all meals, functions and meetings during the conference is business casual.  Appropriate dress for men includes casual slacks and shirts with collars.  Appropriate attire for women includes casual slacks or skirts, blouses, shirts with collars or other coordinating tops.  Sweaters are acceptable for both men and women.
 

WEATHER 
February temperatures in Orlando average around 70° during the day, cooling off to 50° in the evenings.
 

TIMEZONE
Orlando is in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
